GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM
On occasion we hold back the "Pick of the Litter" to be used in our breeding program. Because we do not have kennels here at Tri-State Labradoodles, all of our breeding dogs live either in our home or what we refer to as a "guardian home". These special families raise, love and care for one of our breeding dogs. Once the dog has passed all of his/her health testing, they are ready to start their breeding career. Most females are bred three times and then retired. If a male is placed in a guardian home, we normally have a six year contract.
COST
We do ask for a $500 deposit for our Guardian dogs and upon retirement we use this deposit to cover the cost of spaying/neutering the dog. Tri-State Labradoodles pays for all costs related to breeding and the Guardian family pays for routine vet visits just as you would if you had your own dog.
